Tell me about your experience with FireCloud365.

It was the best thing that ever happened. When I was at TIFCO before coming here, they had FireCloud365, and that’s how I became familiar with it. Then, when I joined here, we felt incredibly vulnerable on this property—a city centre hotel with three floors, expanding around the place; it’s an old building. It was highly vulnerable. However, suddenly, the vulnerability disappeared. Now, I can close my eyes and sleep at night because I know that when everybody works here, they’re addressing areas that were once very exposed. I know what’s being taken care of, and when I receive my report confirming that they’re doing all they can, well, that’s all we can ask for.

What was your experience with the set-up?

It’s absolutely straightforward. No problem at all, no issues whatsoever. I must mention that I’ve worked with Joanne in the past, and I’ve always found her attention to detail in setup to be absolutely top-notch.

Had you any hesitations before purchasing?

No, not at all. I give the team here a quick presentation of how it works. They might be new to this kind of IT, especially for a hotel. However, everyone embraced it once they saw its capabilities. So, absolutely no issues whatsoever.

How has the intervention of FireCloud365 been?

It went very well, actually. Everybody bought into it very fast. Setting it up was gradual because, as I mentioned, this kind of implementation was entirely new here. So, we introduced it gradually. We gradually increased the fire points as we progressed and started utilizing the uploading of documents, including fire drills, gradually. This approach ensured that we didn’t overwhelm anyone with a sudden, massive change.

What would you say to others considering FireCloud365?

Oh, certainly, if you’re seeking efficiencies, traceability, and compliance, Fire Cloud is the solution. Forget about paperwork—it eliminates the hassle of chasing paper trails. You’re no longer reliant on hoping people are doing things correctly. With Fire Cloud, it’s not just a matter of ticking a box or writing in a book; you physically go to the location to ensure the sensors are activated. I find it brilliant; it’s not a trivial matter at all. We implemented it in two properties, starting with the hotel and then extending it to the hostel.

What do you like about FireCloud365?

What do you think we could improve?

Actually, I don’t think so. Right now, Sorcha is focusing on what we aimed to do at this moment. There’s a lot to it; if you delve deeper, there’s more potential to explore. From a hospitality standpoint, it’s functioning well. In fact, we’re not even maximizing its full potential yet, but as we progress, we intend to do so.
